ESD Okayama Award 2026 First-Round Selection Results

The ESD Okayama Award has been held with the aim of recognizing outstanding initiatives among Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) activities undertaken within Japan and across the globe, and promoting ESD, since its inception in FY 2015.

Now in its 12th year, the ESD Okayama Award 2026 received 252 applications from 80 countries worldwide.  As a result of the recent first round of selection, the following 10 projects have been selected as finalists. One or two winning projects will be announced in mid-September.
