They were chosen by a jury from 11 nominated projects selected in the first-round of selection(68 applications from 34 countries in total).The ESD Okayama Award presentation ceremony will be held as follows:

Through the first-round of selection the following 11 projects were nominated from 68 applications for the ‘Global Prize of the ESD Okayama Award 2018.

※The reception of applications for the 'ESD Okayama Award'(Global Prize)was closed.

The award conducted by Okayama City and ESD Okayama Award Steering Committee will reward outstanding ESD practices in local communities around the world to support the organizations carrying out ESD activities, and also showcase and promote ESD.

Organizations based in any country, including Japan, implementing ESD activities in local communities are eligible to apply for the Global Prize.

US $3,000

The Global Prize will be given to up to two projects.

Award winners will be invited to the Award Ceremony on October 27, 2018 (Saturday) in Okayama, Japan, and will be requested to give a presentation on the project.

The Application’s deadline is 29 June 2018(Friday),17: 00 (Japan Standard Time)
