ESD Okayama Award 2024 Preliminary Selection Results

Since its inception in 2015, the ESD Okayama Award has recognized outstanding ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) activities undertaken in Japan and abroad annually.  In addition to showcasing good ESD practices around the world, it aims to further advance the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) as ESD is a key enabler for achieving of all the goals.

This year, we received 267 submissions from 70 countries around the world, the highest number in the history of the award.

As a result of the preliminary screening, the following 12 projects have been selected as finalists for the ESD Okayama Award 2024. From the twelve, one or two projects will be selected by the judges at the final selection.  The winner(s) will be announced on our website in mid-October.
