Kibiji Literary Museum

This privately-owned literary museum was established in 1986 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Chugoku Bank, a regional bank headquartered in Okayama City. The museum collects and exhibits books and materials written by novelists, poets, haiku poets, and filmmakers associated with Kibiji during and after the Meiji period (1868-1912), in an effort to pass on these valuable cultural assets to the next generation. The non-exhibition space can be used for lectures, lectures, concerts, art exhibitions, recitations, mini-theaters, and other events.
"Kibiji" is an old name of Okayama region.

Kibito Publishing

Founded in 1995. Under the slogan "book making is community building," Kibito Publishing is a publishing company rooted in the local community, aiming to create books that explore the local culture. We publish each book with the idea focus on the originality to be made in Okayama.

Made in Okayama Book Network

Made in Okayama Book Network consists of several publishing companies in Okayama Prefecture. The network promotes local production for local residents by holding book fairs at bookstores.

Listening And Writing persons' Association

Listening and Writing persons' Association was launched Launched in 2011.
Storytellers and listeners engage in dialogues to write the spoken words. This is an effort to record the life of persons as history.
Members of the association learn how to record of the local community. They publishes a journal "Listening and Writing" once a year.

Setouchi Book Cruise Executive Committee

A project by volunteers who love small bookstores and books mainly in the Setouchi area. The project plans and manages various events to expand various ways to enjoy books and to interact with each other. We planned and managed the "Okayama Literature Festival 2023".

Okayama Prefecture Provincial Culture Foundation

Okayama Prefecture Provincial Culture Foundation act to protect precious nature and cultural assets in Okayama and keep a unique local culture rooted in tradition. The foundation work to make our hometown pleasant and relaxing place to live.
The foundation hosts the "Hyakken Uchida Literary Award" established to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, a famous writer born in Okayama. The Award invites literary works related to Okayama widely throughout Japan.

Association to Honor Joji Tsubota

In order to honor the achievements of Joji Tsubota, a children's literature writer born in Okayama City, Okayama City holds
Joji Tsubota Literary Award. The association to honor Joji Tsubota promotes reading his children's literature and introduce his life in Okayama and the places related to his works.

“The Joji Tsubota World Explorers” by Notre Dame Seishin University

Volunteer students of Japanese Language and Literature at Notre Dame Seishin University are working to energize the local community through activities to promote the works of Joji Tsubota.

Tay Two Co., Ltd.

 Headquartered in Okayama City, the company operates a reuse business that buys and sells books, games, Treecards, hobbies, CDs, DVDs, and other items, and has opened more than 120 stores across Japan.


 With the concept of "providing inexpensive entertainment that can be enjoyed by the whole family," the company aims to create stores with depth where customers can enjoy the pleasure of purchasing a variety of products and enjoy the expansion of the time axis from the latest titles to older ones. In recent years, we have been focusing on regional development and SDGs activities, and we are currently working on the "Furuichi Regional Development Activity (Creating Shared Value)" to become a company that is needed by the local community.  

 We have recently opened our first booth at the "Okayama Literature Festival 2023" based on our signature product, "Manga.
