Workshop to make Picture Books to be Delivered to Myanmar

In collaboration with the Shanti Volunteer Association, workshops to make picture books for children in Myanmar was held. The books made at this workshop were delivered to the area with little picture books for children through the Shanti Volunteer Association.

Parents and children read picture books and then they watched a video to learn how to make picture books.

The children worked very hard, even though it was a detailed task of cutting and pasting seals onto picture books written in Japanese. With the help of parents, the children carefully pasted the stickers to complete the picture book as a "present" to the children of Myanmar.

Children who participated in the workshop said, "I was very happy because I could read the book to many different children. It was a little bit difficult, but it was a lot of fun. I was happy because I could help someone. I was happy because I was able to help someone. Parents also commented, "It was good to know that this kind of volunteer activity exists. I thought it was wonderful that picture books are helping local children. I was able to learn about the current situation in countries other than Japan and let my children know about it." During the summer vacation, we will hold a workshop to create picture books to be delivered to foreign countries. We hope that many people will participate. Details will be announced on this website and in flyers as soon as they are finalized.
