<Information about sediment disaster>
●Sediment disaster warning areas are designated by Okayama Prefecture as dangerous areas that are harmful to residents during steep slope failures and mudslides based on the "Act for Promoting Sediment Disaster Prevention Measures in Sediment Disaster Warning Areas" (commonly known as the Sediment Disaster Prevention Act).
<Information about flood>
●Flood inundation assumption area maps display the simulated predictions of inundation conditions if the targeted rivers were to overflow, showing the overlapping compiled maps of each river.
●The map of usual rainfall assumption (assuming heavy rain that occurs about once in about 100 to 150 years) indicates the scope and depth of floodings assumed when river floodings occur in each river due to heavy rain under the above condition.
●The map of maximum rainfall assumption (assumed flooding that generally occurs about once in 1000 years) indicates the scope and depth of floodings assumed when river floodings occur in each river due to heavy rain under the above condition.
●Plan -scale rainfall and assumptions of the largest rainfall Please check the website of the Okayama City Crisis Management Office (about floods and landslide hazard maps).
<Information about Earthquakes>
●This hazard map describes the expected damage from a massive earthquake occurring in the Nankai Trough.
●The " Seismic Intensity Scale " indicated on this map represents the distribution of seismic intensity in the event of a "Nankai Trough Megaquake," as publicly announced by the prefecture in February of Reiwa 8 (2026).
●The "liquefaction risk" shown on this map represents the risk of liquefaction in the event of a "Nankai Trough Megaquake," as publicly announced by the prefecture in February of Reiwa 8 (2026). This assessment is based on a liquefaction index called the PL value, as determined according to the classifications below.
PL value > 15: Liquefaction risk is extremely high
5 < PL value ≤ 15: Liquefaction risk is high
0 < PL value ≤ 5: Liquefaction risk is low
PL value ≤ 0: Liquefaction risk is extremely low
●The "Seismic vulnerability" shown on this map indicates the degree of damage to buildings, displayed in six color-coded levels, assuming the maximum expected shaking intensity indicated on the susceptibility map. It estimates the percentage of fully collapsed buildings by multiplying the full collapse rate by the number of building structures and construction years within the area.
<Information about tsunami>
●This hazard map indicates the damage of the tsunami and landslide disasters assumed in the event of Nankai Trough Giant Earthquake.
●The tsunami inundation depth shown on this map is based on the assumed tsunami inundation zones in the event of a "Nankai Trough Megaquake," as publicly announced by Okayama Prefecture in February of Reiwa 8 (2026).
<Information about storm surge>
●The map based on the storm surge model of Typhoon No. 16 in Heisei 16 (2004) illustrates the potential risk of inundation as modeled on the scale of Typhoon No. 16 of Heisei 16.
●The map of maximum damage scale assumption indicates the expected risk of inundation during river flooding due to the largest storm surge that could be expected.
<Information about route search>
●The route displayed in the route search may not be able to pass in the event of a disaster. In the event of a disaster, act based on the surrounding situation and disaster information.
<Information about Alert Level>
●Alert Level 5 Emergency Safety Measures…Emergency Safety Measures(Alert Level 5)indicates a life-threatening situation in which you can no longer safely evacuate.
●Alert Level 4 Evacuation Instruction…All residents should evacuate from affected areas when or before Evacuation Instruction(Alert Level 4)is issued.
●Alert Level 3 Evacuation of the Elderly, Etc.…Elderly people, those with disabilities, and others who may need more time to evacuate should evacuate from affected areas when Evacuation of the Elderly, Etc.(Alert Level 3)is issued.
